About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our Asbestos & Dust Diseases Team on a full‐time, permanent basis. We are open to the successful candidate being based in our Brisbane or Mackay offices. This role will suit candidates looking to make their mark within the Firm whilst helping everyday Australians.
Key Responsibilities
* Answer all incoming client enquiries and assist or transfer calls where appropriate
* Provide accurate updates and information to clients within a timely manner and manage expectations
* Manage the administration of all client files from open to close
* Produce client correspondence and prepare court documents as requested
* Arrange and manage diaries, appointments and meetings
* Action all incoming mail
* Prepare bills for clients
* Any other generalist administrative tasks as requested

Key Selection Criteria
* Previous experience as a Legal Assistant (preferred but not essential)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to liaise with internal and external clients
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
