The Opportunity
The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley has been successful in receiving many important strategic grants which will transform the town of Kununurra and Wyndham in the East Kimberley.This is a rare and challenging career opportunity to join a dynamic local government where you can make a difference through the delivery of critical projects and services that contribute to the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley's strategic objective of connecting our cultures, striving for prosperity, celebrating the spirit of country and community. This maximum term position of up to two years and under the direction of the Director Infrastructure and Strategic Projects, will manage the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-value capital works and projects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, and in accordance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and requires a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, risk management, and project governance while fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Working Closely With The Director Infrastructure And Strategic Projects And Members Of The Executive Management Team, As Well As Other Internal And External Stakeholders, You Will Manage Identified Projects, Ensuring Safe And High-quality Delivery. Key Responsibilties Include
* Defining scope, milestones, and delivery schedules in collaboration with key stakeholders
* Ensuring alignment with the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley's project governance and methodologies
* Managing end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
* Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting
* Identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring ongoing quality assurance
* Facilitating communication to ensure transparency and alignment
