As a Systems Engineer specialising in Defence test & evaluation, you will provide consultancy advice and technical solutions to clients in a project setting, helping them solve real‐world problems. You will support CASG and Defence programs focused on electronic warfare capability, contributing to the planning, delivery and sustainment of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
From day one, you will plan, execute and report on test activities across the system lifecycle, starting with requirements verification through integration, acceptance and in‐service evaluation. Your work will include developing test plans and procedures, coordinating trials, capturing and analysing data, and producing robust reports and assurance artefacts that stand up to scrutiny. You will also support certification pathways and compliance with relevant standards, ensuring systems meet performance, safety and reliability expectations. You will engage with engineers, stakeholders and end‐users, manage risks and defects, and apply proven methodologies to deliver results that matter.
Essential Requirements
* Engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia and relevant industry experience.
* Proficiency in Defence systems engineering principles and test & evaluation methodologies.
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
* Proven ability to apply a solutions‐focused approach and continuous improvement mindset.
* Demonstrated ability to assess and evaluate identified or emerging risks through detailed analysis and informed decision‐making.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to problem‐solve complex issues and develop a path to desirable solutions.
* Australian citizen with a minimum NV1 AGSVA security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 level clearance.
* Experience with electromagnetic warfare systems is highly regarded.
* Demonstrated RF knowledge is advantageous.
* Engineers Australia Chartered status or equivalent, or the ability to achieve Chartered status.

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
