The Role
The Production Planner & Training Coordinator is a critical operational role responsible for driving, coordinating and facilitating operational needs across maintenance, execution and project planning activities. This role will be support critical functions that directly supports safe, reliable and efficient operations within our Ammonium Nitrate facility.
Sitting at the centre of operations, this role ensures that plant activities are safely planned, effectively coordinated, and executed in alignment with production priorities. It plays a key role in embedding process safety systems, improving planning discipline, and reducing downtime through structured coordination across operations, maintenance and projects.
Coordinate planning activities across operations, maintenance and project teams
Lead shutdown preparation including isolations, SIMOPS and operational readiness
Embed PTW, isolations and override systems into all planned work
Support SAP alignment for planning, scheduling and asset integrity
Prepare and review maintenance scopes, risk rankings and execution plans
Support training and competency uplift across production teams
What you’ll bring
You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
Experience in petrochemical, chemical manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
Strong understanding of PTW, isolations and risk management systems
Experience working with maintenance management systems such as SAP
Proven ability to coordinate work across multi-disciplinary teams
Certificate IV in training and Assessment (desired)
Certificate III in process plant technology (desired)

The Site – Moranbah Ammonium Nitrate Plant
The Dyno Nobel Moranbah Plant is a fully integrated Ammonium Nitrate complex based in Central Queensland, operating on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna People. The facility comprises Ammonia, Nitric Acid and Ammonium Nitrate plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
