Agronomy and Merchandise Manager Role
* Oversee agronomy and merchandise operations, manage inventory, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure customer engagement.
* Manage stock and sales across agronomy categories, including pasture seed, crop inputs, and soil health products.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and freight services.
* Provide recommendations on seasonal planting, pest control, and nutrient programs based on local conditions.
* Collaborate on product promotions, signage, and displays tied to sowing windows and local events.
* Train staff on product knowledge, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
* Ensure efficient ordering, stocktakes, and merchandising processes for maximum productivity.
About the Position
* Proven experience in rural merchandise or agronomy retail with a focus on customer satisfaction.
* Strong knowledge of seed varieties, fertiliser blends, and chemical safety guidelines.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain) for efficient warehouse management.
* Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and supplier portals for streamlined operations.
