* Fixed-term to 31 December 2025, full-time, Current UNE Staff: In taking up this appointment, please be aware your current fixed term or permanent role will cease the day prior to you taking this position
* $ 69,636 to $ 75,406 (part time pro rata ) per annum (HEO4)
* Plus 17% employer superannuation
* Salary packaging options are available
* Generous leave entitlements available, namely 20 days family and domestic violence leave available per annum (part time pro rata), 10 days Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave per annum (part time pro rata), etcetera
* 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum, part time pro rata
* Applicants must have appropriate Australian work rights for the duration of this position (UNE will not provide sponsorship for this position)

About the role
As the Student Retention Administrator, your role involves proactively engaging with specific student groups to deliver targeted and efficient support. Your work aims to facilitate students' access to administrative and academic support services, while also coordinating with health and wellness-focused resources when necessary. The overarching goal is to ensure each eligible student successfully completed their academic journey with comprehensive assistance.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A relevant diploma qualification; or completion of a Certificate IV with relevant work experience; or completion of a Certificate lll with extensive relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* Adaptability, resilience and flexibility to move from team-to-team within the Student Journey portfolio and to fulfil various direct, instrumental services and supports to students and other key UNE stakeholders, in the context of student retention and student engagement.
* Demonstrated advanced word processing skills and knowledge of other relevant software and systems desk top publishing, spreadsheet, database, web-based software and record management systems.
* Demonstrated ability to relate well to colleagues and students and be an integral part of a cohesive team as well as work independently on own initiative.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and apply high-level judgement and analysis in relation to problem solving issues with strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to evaluate and recommend creative approaches to achieve objectives.
* Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal, engagement and communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop effective professional relationships with students, staff and other UNE stakeholders.
