Sunshine Coast
$200,000+ + super
As Regional Manager, you'll take ownership of a newly established Sunshine Coast operation with a clear mandate: lead it, grow it, and make it stand on its own feet.
The foundations are already in place. There's a local team of four (4), an active project pipeline, and strong referral relationships with planning and engineering firms. What's missing is a dedicated Sunshine Coast leader to bring it all together, drive growth, and build a team around the work that's already flowing.
This is not a Brisbane satellite role. The Sunshine Coast is being positioned as its own operating centre, with full P&L responsibility and the autonomy to run it your way. You'll still have access to Brisbane-based technical support and clients where needed, but the expectation is local leadership, local relationships, and local growth.
The work itself is high-quality and consistent, spanning renewables, infrastructure, pipelines, Olympic-related approvals and major residential developments. Business development here is not cold or transactional — it's relationship-led, nurturing existing partners and expanding organically from there.
The Role
* Lead and grow the Sunshine Coast environmental planning and ecology team
* Full P&L ownership and responsibility for the region
* Drive work generation through existing partners and local networks
* Build and scale the team in line with project demand
* Maintain senior technical oversight where appropriate
* Consolidate the Sunshine Coast office as a standalone operation
Projects & portfolio
* Renewables and energy infrastructure
* Transport infrastructure (bridges and linear projects)
* Pipelines and utilities
* Olympic-related referrals and approvals
* Large residential and mixed-use developments
You'll be joining a multidisciplinary environmental consultancy of 30+ staff, with ecology, environmental planning, spatial and landscape architecture all delivered in-house. Leadership is experienced, well connected, and actively investing in growth.
This is a small but potent group of environmental professionals with strong momentum, a respected reputation, and a steady flow of work driven by long-standing industry relationships.
What you'll bring
* Senior consulting background in environmental planning, ecology or similar
* Proven experience leading teams within a consultancy environment
* Strong Sunshine Coast network across councils, developers, utilities or planners
* Confidence owning P&L and growing a regional business
* Ability to balance leadership, client engagement and technical oversight
