The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Business - Australia, the HR Generalist will be the go-to HR professional for the Australian operation - supporting field and corporate employees across a broad remit that spans employee relations, payroll, talent acquisition, and workplace health and safety.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives wearing multiple hats, enjoys working closely with managers and employees alike, and takes pride in building a compliant, people-focused workplace culture. You will also partner with the global HR team to implement and localise new HR initiatives across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers across Australia
* Support managers with employee relations matters including performance management, coaching, disciplinary processes, and workplace concerns
* Coordinate full-cycle recruitment — job postings, screening, interviews, offer letters, and onboarding
* Process and coordinate payroll for Australian employees, including benefits, leave, superannuation, and payroll-related changes
* Administer employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, systems, equipment, and orientation
* Support the implementation and administration of the company's Health & Safety program, including incident reporting, investigations, and return-to-work coordination
* Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and compliance reporting within HR systems
* Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation, workplace standards, and company policies
* Partner with the global HR team to implement and localise new HR initiatives across Australia
* Support employee engagement, training activities, and internal HR programs as required
What We\'re Looking For
* Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience
* CAHRI designation or working towards completion - considered an asset
* Experience as an HR Generalist across HR operations, payroll, and recruitment
* Payroll processing and employee benefits administration experience preferred
* Knowledge of Australian employment standards, HR practices, and workplace legislation
* Experience with Rippling, considered an asset, not essential
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organisation
* High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive matters
* Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
