The role
Join Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) as a Business Support Officer and help keep things running smoothly in our Cairns office. From welcoming visitors and managing day-to-day administration to coordinating events, you’ll be at the heart of our operations.

What you'll do
As a Business Support Officer, you will:
* Contribute to the efficient and effective functioning of the organisation and the Cairns office.
* Be the go-to person for office support, including reception, mail (including post office visits), stationery, catering, and shared spaces.
* Prepare agendas, take minutes, and maintain action items.
* Assist with onboarding new team members and site inductions.
* Support event and stakeholder engagement activities, including scheduling, logistics and preparing materials.
* Keep business systems up to date with accurate data entry and compliance checks.
* Pitch in with other admin tasks and continuous improvement projects.
Key selection criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Two years relevant work experience in an administration role.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with high standard of professional presentation.
* Strong written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in agenda preparation, minute taking, and correspondence preparation preferred.
* Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to become proficient in other software programs as required.
* Well-developed organisational and problem-solving skills.
* A high level of attention to detail.
