About the role
As the Online Managed Services Technician, you will be the remote technicalengine of our client's support operations. Your primary focus will bediagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues acrossLinux environments, virtualisation platforms, and network infrastructure. Youwill take ownership of client issues, interact professionally withstakeholders, and ensure highly critical communication systems remain operationaland optimised.

Must haves:

* Solidhands-on background in Linux and Proxmox (Virtualisation).
* Strongnetworking fundamentals (VLANs, TCP/IP, Routing).
* Excellent,professional client communication skills.

Role and Responsibilities

* Takeownership of support tickets via Zendesk, effectively managing andprioritising your open workflow.
* Provideremote diagnostics and advanced troubleshooting for Linux and Proxmoxenvironments.
* Configure,maintain, and troubleshoot networking infrastructure, including switches,VLANs, IP addressing, routing, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
* Maintainand update virtualised environments to ensure peak performance andstability.
* Providededicated remote support for proprietary nurse call systems (full trainingwill be provided).
* Performconfiguration updates for subscribed clients and maintain highly accuratework and resolution records.
* Collaborateclosely with internal engineers and technicians, providing valuable fieldfeedback to improve products.
* Participatein a rotating after-hours and weekend on-call roster.
* Demonstrateinitiative by proactively questioning ineffective practices and taking onwider tasks to support team goals.

Experience / Skills / Qualifications

* AUniversity Degree in Information Technology, a relevant TradeCertification, or a strong equivalent technical background.
* Atleast 5+years of experience in a remote support, managed services (MSP), ortechnical diagnostics role.
* Strong,proven working knowledge of Linux and Proxmox operating/virtualenvironments.
* Solidunderstanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing,DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
* Demonstratedability to troubleshoot complex issues within virtualised and networkedenvironments.
* Exceptionalclient-facing communication skills with a clear, professional telephonemanner.
* Familiaritywith Zendesk or similar ITSM/ticketing platforms.
* Abilityto work autonomously, prioritise tasks efficiently, and maintain aproactive approach to health and safety.
