Job Description
This role is a mix of local, office and field-based work and involves national travel on a project-to-project basis. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate strong theoretical and practical knowledge.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Commissioning and testing HV protections systems.
2. Commissioning and testing HV Plant.
3. Commissioning and Testing Power Generation Systems.
4. Protection Relay Testing.
5. HV Primary and secondary system testing in a substation environment.
6. Assist in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, test plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works.
7. Carry out JSHAs etc. prior to commencing any new works to identify hazards and implement the necessary controls.
8. Knowledge of HV/LV Transformer Testing (i.e. Tan Delta/Turns Ratio/SFRA/Dirana/Voltage Ratio/Winding Resistance, Oil Sampling)
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience, skills and qualifications:
1. Unrestricted NT Electrical Fitter and Mechanic Workers License.
2. Valid Driver's License.
3. HV Switching Ticket preferred.
4. Knowledge of appropriate Australian Standards.
5. Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
6. Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
