About the Role
As a Civil Designer working with our Brisbane team, you will focus on delivering comprehensive design work for civil projects using AutoCAD and 12D.
You will be responsible for
* Design and drafting of multi-disciplinary projects including: Culverts, Pipe Networks, Creek Rehabilitation, Detention Basins, Dams, Erosion and Sediment Control Works, Bulk Earthworks; Civil Infrastructure including Roads and Retaining Walls
* Preparation of construction documentation
* Review of drafting documentation
* Supporting and approving associated technical work directly related to the discipline
* Playing an active role in the business groups through regular meetings, workshops, training and business planning
What do we need from you
Ideally, you will have 3-5+ years of experience in civil design within a professional services or consultancy environment. In addition, you will also have:
* Diploma of Engineering Technology (or similar) or significant experience as a civil designer
* Proficiency in 12D and AutoCad 2D
* A thorough understanding of civil design principles pertaining to land development, storm water, flood modelling, civil infrastructure or roads (preferred disciplines)
* Experience working with clients in the mining sector highly desired
* Ability to define problems and relevant constraints and risks and discuss with Engineers
* Willingness to coach junior designers with advice on solutions and develop fit-for-purpose solutions to engineering problems
* Ability to autonomously develop complex designs and drawings
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisation
