The Role
Inverell Aquatic Centre is seeking energetic, confident, and motivated individuals to join our lifeguarding team.
We are currently looking for experienced, enthusiastic, reliable, and friendly lifeguards to join on a casual basis for our peak season from October to late March. Our lifeguards will be responsible for daily pool operations and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons both in and around the pools.
You should have a passion for water safety. Ideal candidates are energetic, outgoing, and fun, with outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service to ensure patrons enjoy their visit safely every time.
Applicants must demonstrate effective communication and interaction skills with a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures, and needs.
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Understanding of OHS and public safety principles
- Availability for mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Previous experience is not essential but highly regarded
- Current Pool Operations Certificate is not essential but highly regarded
- Current First Aid (Level 2)
- Current CPR Certificate
- Working with Children Check (Employee Status)
- National Police Check
