About the Community Crisis Support Role
* Be part of a local team connected to a larger network of community-based teams.
* Have opportunities to participate in preparedness, response, and recovery activities.
* Develop skills enabling you to deliver psychosocial support, training programs, and community development services within your community and beyond.
Your Commitment
* Initial training in Psychological First Aid Skills (5-hour online session or 1 day face-to-face).
* Completion of mandatory e-learning modules (10) – approximately 9 hours.
The Impact
As a Community Crisis Support volunteer, you will have a direct impact on the members of your community. Whether you are providing personal support (Psychological First Aid) to people affected by crises, assisting communities in preparing before or recovering after a disaster, or supporting training and operations, you will be making a real difference.
