About the Role
This is a hands‑on and varied role ideal for a jack‑of‑all‑trades with a strong practical mindset. The Handyman will carry out day‑to‑day maintenance, repairs, and light construction or fit‑out tasks across multiple retail and warehouse sites. The position can be offered as a full‑time role or structured under your own ABN for greater flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across retail and warehouse sites
* Carry out basic carpentry, painting, plastering, welding, and minor plumbing or electrical tasks (where licensed)
* Assist with new store fit‑outs, refurbishments, and layout modifications
* Install shelves, fixtures, and signage as required
* Coordinate and oversee subcontractors on smaller projects
* Maintain tools, vehicles, and ensure work areas meet safety and quality standardsProvide practical onsite solutions and communicate effectively with internal teams
* Travel across multiple retail and warehouse sites throughout Victoria as required
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Technician, or similar role
* Broad trade knowledge (carpentry, painting, welding, roofing, tiling, or general repairs)
* Strong practical skills and ability to complete varied hands‑on tasks
* Physically fit, reliable, and able to work independently
* Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport essential
* Trade qualification (carpentry, joinery, or general maintenance) desirable
* Sound problem‑solving ability and attention to detail
