About the Role
Our client, a small and growing accountancy practice in Brighton, is seeking a Permanent Bookkeeper / Management Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive individual to work in a close-knit and supportive environment, delivering high-quality financial services to a wide-ranging client base.
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients using cloud-based systems.
* Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
* Bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
* Supporting clients with queries and providing insight into financial data.
* Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
* Liaising with HMRC and ensuring timely submissions.
* Supporting the wider team with ad hoc financial and operational tasks.
About You
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Management Accountant within an accountancy practice.
* Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, VAT, and management reporting.
* Proficient in cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks).
* AAT qualified or equivalent experience preferred.
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
