Game Development Manager Position

Tripledot Studios is a fast-growing mobile games company with a global reach and a passion for innovation. We are on the path to become one of the largest independent mobile games companies in the world, with an ambition to grow into a 2,500+ strong team across 12 studios.

We're looking for a skilled Game Development Manager to join our team and help shape the future of our mobile games. As a key member of our game development team, you'll be responsible for supporting the development and success of new mobile games, working closely with Product Managers, cross-functional teams (Art, Engineering, UA, Monetization, and Data Science) to deliver great games, fast. You'll assist in taking features and ideas from concept through to launch, contributing directly to the creation of engaging and successful games. While you'll have real impact from day one, this role is also designed to help you grow into owning product tracks more independently over time.

Responsibilities - What you'll be doing...

* Support Game Development: Collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality games, utilizing data-driven insights and market trends to inform feature development.
* Help Shape Roadmaps: Contribute to product roadmaps and backlog prioritization based on player insights, data, and market trends, ensuring that our games meet the needs of our players.
* Use Data to Guide Decisions: Work closely with our data team to evaluate performance of features and gameplay, using actionable insights to improve engagement and monetization.
* Contribute to Game Ideas: Help brainstorm and test new game concepts, features, and market opportunities, refining these ideas into product specs, wireframes, and proposals.
* Feature Development: Support the delivery of large-scale features—from gathering requirements and contributing to specs to collaborating on wireframes and supporting QA.
* Collaborate Across Teams: Act as a central link between disciplines, ensuring clear communication and smooth execution across stakeholders.
* Learn and Grow: Take increasing responsibility for areas of the product as you gain experience, working toward owning your own tracks of work with guidance from senior leaders.
* Support Culture Building: Help ensure our Melbourne studio thrives as part of the larger Tripledot family, embracing our values and creative spirit.
* Ad-hoc Projects: Pitch in wherever needed—whether it's helping prepare presentations, market research, or organizing playtests.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

* Domain Knowledge: Demonstrates strong domain knowledge, making informed and evidence-based decisions, with at least 3-5 years of product experience in game development.
* Collaboration: Proficient in playing a supporting role in technical discussions and critical business projects.
* Communication: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Game Economy Management: Expertise in game economy management.
* Process Improvement: Proven ability to establish and improve processes within a project.
* Communication Adaptability: Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally, adapting to various audiences.
* Synthesis: Skilled in transparent and inclusive communication, with a talent for synthesizing complex viewpoints.
* Project Management: Capable of managing the day-to-day work of people or projects within defined parameters.
* Complex Feature Development: Has experience conceiving complex features and live-ops functionality in order to optimize already scaled games.
* Transition Management: Ability to transition the product and the team from growth phase to a smooth and scaled operation.
* Hiring: Experience in interviewing and hiring product managers.

Working at Tripledot
