We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Port Melbourne team based 100% onsite, supporting various BAA programs.
About the role:
In this role you will be accountable for assisting in developing, maintaining and improving the effectiveness of Boeing's quality system.
Position Responsibilities:
* Integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of program processes and documentation
* Develop quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements
* Develop Quality criteria, conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities
* Lead various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
* Develop and select methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
* Analyse non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actionsFacilitate reviews and workshops to determine root cause of defects, develop and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences
* Perform benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
* Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
* Experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions
* Experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment, working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team
* Applicants must have unrestricted full-time working rights in Australia
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
* Certification (Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Six Sigma) through a recognized provider.
* AS9145 - Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) experience.

Classification Level:
This is an Enterprise Agreement position classified as Engineer / Scientist 1A. The successful candidate will be required to complete a 3 month probationary period.
