Lead Technical Services Specialist
About this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technical services specialist to lead our underground technical team at the Broken Hill mine. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership across mine planning, geology, survey, ventilation, and other technical functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of technical professionals including mining engineers, geologists, surveyors, and ventilation officers.
* Oversight of mine plans, schedules, and designs to achieve production and business targets.
* Provide technical input into life-of-mine planning and operational decision-making.
* Evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and cost management.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A strong technical background in underground mining.
* Experience in managing technical services teams.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or related discipline.
