Overview:

We are seeking an experienced
Financial Director
to lead and oversee all financial aspects of our organization. As a Financial Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the financial strategy, ensuring the company's financial health, and providing strategic guidance to senior management. You will play a key role in decision-making, financial planning, risk management, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role is ideal for an individual with strong leadership skills, deep financial expertise, and a proven track record in managing financial operations at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities:

* Financial Strategy & Planning
: Develop and implement the organization's financial strategy in alignment with the company's business goals and long-term vision.
* Financial Management
: Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management. Ensure the company remains on track to meet its financial targets.
* Financial Reporting
: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and compliant with Australian accounting standards.
* Risk Management
: Assess and manage financial risks, including market risks, credit risks, and operational risks. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
* Cash Flow & Liquidity
: Monitor cash flow and working capital, ensuring the business has the liquidity to support day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives.
* Stakeholder Reporting
: Provide regular financial reports to senior management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders, clearly communicating financial performance and trends.
* Compliance & Governance
: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including taxation laws, company law, and industry-specific regulations. Work closely with external auditors and regulators.
* Cost Management
: Identify and implement cost control initiatives to improve profitability without compromising business operations.
* Team Leadership
: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing direction, performance management, and opportunities for professional growth.
* Investment Strategy
: Oversee the company's investment portfolio, ensuring the best possible return on investments while managing risks appropriately.
* Mergers & Acquisitions
: Support potential mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives, providing financial analysis and advice to senior leadership.
* Strategic Decision Support
: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making at the executive level.

Skills & Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree
in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or a relevant master's degree is a plus).
* Professional Accounting Qualification
(CPA, CA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
* Experience
: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in senior financial management, including 3-5 years in a leadership role as a Financial Director or equivalent.
* Financial Acumen
: Deep understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Proficient in financial analysis and reporting.
* Leadership Skills
: Proven ability to lead and manage a finance team, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge
: Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, including Australian accounting standards, tax laws, and industry-specific guidelines.
* Communication Skills
: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, including the board of directors.
* Business Strategy
: Strong understanding of business strategy, operations, and how financial decisions impact overall business performance.
* Technology Proficiency
: Advanced knowledge of financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
* Problem-Solving
: Ability to identify issues, analyze options, and make data-driven decisions that benefit the organization.

* Advanced Financial Modeling
: Strong skills in building and interpreting advanced financial models for strategic planning and decision support.
* M&A Experience
: Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post-merger integration.
* Stakeholder Management
: Ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
