This is a fabulous opportunity to join the newly established Silicon Platforms Lab (SiPLab) within the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Macquarie University. This role will see you enhance your capabilities and the reputation of SiP Lab team. You will lead advanced mixed-signal designs in deep sub-micron CMOS processes. You will oversee and lead the delivery of semiconductor and technology projects. What you’ll do Lead the progression of chip designs from concept to production with a primary focus on design, with a focus on analogue and mixed signal building blocks Innovate as a technology leader, pushing the state-of-the-art in CMOS / SOI chip design Work closely with our foundry partners Work with our systems and hardware engineers to develop the most effective chip designs Write and review documentation for project reviews. Develop, review, and analyse system requirements, the flow-down of these requirements from system to sub-system levels, and the systems modelling, and analysis required for requirements verification. About Us The Faculty of Science and Engineering offers both undergraduate and postgraduate Degree programs across a diverse range of disciplines. The SiP Lab is an advanced silicon chip design lab with advanced silicon system-on-chip (SoC) / system-in-package (SiP) capabilities. The research focuses on key semiconductor industry trends in communications and sensing, as well as partnering with adjacent research teams across the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the wider University to integrate their own novel IP onto a silicon platform, with benefits anticipated in the fields of synthetic biology, photonics, and quantum technologies.
