The Opportunity
This is not a traditional Learning & Development role.
As the National Learning & Development Manager for The Jewellery Group, you will shape the capability, performance and cultural standards of two national jewellery brands — Mazzucchelli's and Zamels — across Australia.
Reporting to the General Manager of Retail & Head of L&D, you will design and deliver frameworks that drive real commercial outcomes: stronger conversion, higher average transaction value, improved stock confidence and elevated leadership capability in store.
You will lead national programs, partner with State Sales Managers and National Support Office teams, and embed a performance‐driven learning culture that directly supports retail growth.
This role is for a commercially minded L&D leader — someone who understands that training is not about content delivery, but behaviour change, accountability and measurable impact.
What You Will Be Doing
* Design and lead national retail capability programs, including accredited digital modules.
* Build leadership pathways for Store Managers and emerging talent.
* Align product education to GP and sales outcomes.
* Drive onboarding, performance conversations and succession planning frameworks.
* Create scalable learning tools that are practical, modern and performance‐focused.
* Develop and execute the national Learning & Development strategy aligned to commercial targets & company programs.
* Execute the structured retail capability frameworks that improve all impact KPI's.
* Lead onboarding programs for National Support Office, Store Managers, Assistant Managers and retail teams.
* Build structured leadership pathways and succession planning programs.
* Partner with State Sales Managers to identify skill gaps and performance trends.
* Deliver national training sessions, workshops and conference content.
* Embed product knowledge education that translates into stronger selling behaviour.
* Drive performance conversation frameworks and coaching standards in store.
* Develop digital learning tools and scalable resources via learning platforms.
* Measure and report on training effectiveness, linking learning to sales outcomes.
* Identify and elevate emerging talent across the retail network.
* Support cultural initiatives that strengthen engagement and accountability.
What You Will Bring
The successful candidate will bring commercial intelligence, leadership maturity and a deep understanding of retail performance. They will combine strategic thinking with hands‐on execution, translating learning into measurable behaviour change on the shop floor. With strong influencing skills and the confidence to hold standards, they will bring clarity, structure and momentum to a national network. Most importantly, they will bring energy, accountability and the ability to inspire leaders to lift performance, not just through training, but through disciplined, consistent capability building.
