The role strengthens long-term client relationships, leads renewals, identifies upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and drives expansion of Automic's footprint within the corporate services ecosystem. Working closely with Customer Success Managers, Professional Services, Solutions/Transitions, Operations, Product, and the wider Sales team, the Account Manager ensures exceptional client experiences while delivering sustainable commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Portfolio Ownership & Relationship Management

2. Manage a portfolio of corporate clients as the primary commercial owner.

3. Build strong, multi-level relationships across Operations, COO, Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Executive teams.
4. Conduct structured engagement activities, including business reviews, account health checks, and executive check-ins.
5. Act as the commercial and escalation point for client queries, renewals, and strategic discussions.
6. Provide proactive insights on market trends, operational best practices, and opportunities for client value uplift.

7. Retention & Renewal Management

8. Lead renewal cycles, including pricing reviews, term adjustments, and negotiation of multi-year agreements.

9. Identify churn risks through engagement metrics, client sentiment, operational challenges, or solution gaps, and implement mitigation plans.
10. Coordinate incident response or complex client queries by collaborating with Support, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Customer Success teams.
11. Ensure timely and accurate forecasting of renewals and retention metrics.

12. Growth, Upsell & Cross-Sell

13. Drive expansion of Automic's corporate solutions by identifying whitespace, unmet needs, and operational inefficiencies.

14. Develop structured account growth plans and product penetration maps for each client.
15. Partner with Solutions, Professional Services, and Product teams to run evaluations, pilots, and scoping for expanded services.
16. Present compelling commercial proposals that articulate value, efficiency gains, risk reduction, and scalability.
17. Cross-sell adjacent offerings including Fund Administration, Analytics, Capital Markets services, ESG solutions, or Share Plan services where relevant.

18. Collaboration with Solutions, Transitions & Professional Services

19. Work with Solutions and Transitions teams to scope onboarding, migrations, transitions, and operational change events.

20. Ensure proposals and commitments accurately reflect operational feasibility and delivery capability.
21. Participate in transition plans and ensure seamless handover from commercial agreement to implementation.
22. Support the creation and negotiation of Statements of Work (SOWs) and service variations.

5. Market Expertise & Product Positioning

* Maintain deep expertise in Automic's corporate solutions, including Company Registry, Capital Markets, ESG, and related corporate services.
* Understand regulatory, compliance (ASIC/ASX), and operational requirements relevant to corporate clients.
* Position Automic's solutions credibly and consultatively, simplifying complex operational and regulatory challenges.
* Provide structured market feedback to Product and Leadership on trends, competitive landscape, service gaps, and emerging opportunities.

6. Strategic Account Planning

* Develop robust account plans outlining client sentiment, risks, opportunities, usage trends, and long-term growth pathways.
* Use operational data and market insights to prioritise high-value actions.
* Maintain accurate forecasts for expansions and renewal pipelines within CRM.
* Report key portfolio insights, risks, and commercial opportunities to leadership.

7. Internal Collaboration

* Customer Success Managers (CSMs): Align on service performance, client health, renewal readiness, and expansion opportunities.
* Professional Services & Capital Markets: Coordinate delivery of onboarding, transitions, corporate actions, and multi-product enhancements.
* Sales & Commercial: Share competitive insights, forecast growth pathways, and collaborate on major commercial initiatives.
* Product, Risk, Legal & Engineering: Collaborate on onboarding, regulatory needs, operational feasibility, and provide market feedback to inform roadmap development.
* Champion the client voice and outcomes across Automic, contributing to continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, we require the following skillsets.

* Proven experience managing complex corporate client portfolios.
* Demonstrated success in retention, upsell, cross-sell, and commercial negotiation.
* Experience working cross-functionally with Customer Success, Professional Services, Operations, or Product teams.
* Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce) and account planning frameworks.
* Proven experience managing complex corporate client portfolios.
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
