**Project Overview**
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the on-site delivery of a new utility-scale solar and battery energy storage project. The successful candidate will function as an Owner's Engineer-style site representative, providing daily oversight of construction, installation, and testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent the client on site, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and health and safety management plans.
* Monitor EPC contractor performance, tracking progress, reviewing schedules, and reporting risks, delays, and mitigation strategies to client representatives.
* Support the resolution of construction issues, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders to ensure effective problem-solving and issue resolution.
* Participate in site walks, inspections, toolbox talks, technical meetings, and design clarifications, ensuring all site activities comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
* Facilitate coordination between contractors, client engineers, and external service providers, maintaining alignment and minimizing delays.
* Support commissioning readiness, testing oversight, and final completion activities.
Requirements
* Minimum 10 years' experience in Construction Management, Site Supervision, or similar senior site-based roles.
* Proven experience delivering major greenfield infrastructure projects, ideally utility-scale renewable energy projects.
* Strong background in electrical construction, electrical trade, or engineering qualification.
* Demonstrated ability to manage EPC contractors on large, complex energy or power-generation projects.
* Strong awareness of health and safety practices, testing processes, and construction compliance requirements.
* Skilled communicator with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and maintain calm, clear leadership on site.
