Location: Hybrid Perth | Type:12 Month Fixed-Term Fulltime (Maternity Leave Cover)
About the Role
This role has responsibility for the delivery of company retention and growth targets across Western Australia.
Its principle purpose is to retain and grow the number of members and policy holders within the defined geography, segments and product areas.
Key Challenges:
* Developing and maintaining an active prospect pipeline, building awareness in allocated target markets and nurturing leads across short and long-term horizons to achieve sales targets.
* Differentiating Avant Group products within a niche market where products are generic between competitors and where there is relatively low churn and limited opportunities for growth.
* Capturing the attention of time poor professional members on issues other than clinical practice.
* Complex market with a large number of stakeholders requires intimate knowledge of the health and medical environment to deliver products and services that are specifically tailored to their needs and requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish presence and profile within allocated target segments (via major practices, colleges, societies, associations & hospitals) to support retention and cross-sell objectives and to self-generate a strong sales pipeline.
* Deliver individual sales growth targets, within target allocated segments and build Avant profiles in the market.
* Represent Avant Group at industry events and functions.
* Provide input in the form of market intelligence and competitor information to Avant management.
* Provide input in a team environment aimed at encouraging superior skills and results.
To be successful in the role you will have:
* Tertiary degree (desirable)
* FSR Tier 1 or 2 accreditation (or willing to attain as part of employment)
* Developing sales experience and record of success preferably in a medical environment
* Membership services experience, ideally in a medical indemnity / insurance environment
* Communication management experience, ideally in a pharmaceutical, professional or financial services environment
* Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
* Technical Business Development skills
* Ability to think strategically and analytically
* Understanding of the medical industry or insurance sector market ideal
* Product knowledge
* Experience in trade marketing and direct sales.
* Capable of building business networks that foster growth
