Main Purpose Of Role
The Product Manager - Software and Services role sits within Aritech Australia, a business unit of Kidde Global Solutions focused on delivering electronic security hardware and software. The Product Manager will work closely with customers in sectors such as banking, retail, government, and critical infrastructure to drive product strategy, roadmap execution and deliver customer‐centric outcomes.
Role Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the assigned product portfolio and own the product.
* Maintain personal contact with internal teams, distributors, system integrators and end users to qualify product feature requests and prioritise development plans.
* Work closely with engineering teams to create products centred on customer feedback and develop realistic delivery timelines.
* Gather and analyse broader security and SaaS market intelligence.
* Maintain commercial ownership of the portfolio through management of sales targets, engineering budgets and other objectives.
* Provide pre‐sales technical support and solutions to the internal sales team or external stakeholders.
* Develop and present technical presentations to sales teams or external stakeholders.
* Engage with sales teams and customers to understand buyer motivation and develop corresponding solutions.
* Assist in preparing tender submissions with the internal sales team.
* Liaise or present to international teams as necessary.
* Review product pricing proactively to balance profitability and sales impact.
* Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing plans and material for the product portfolio.
* Manage inventory levels and product forecasting.
* Manage factory production and assist in issue resolution.
* Provide product information, training and advice to internal technical support, documentation writers and trainers.
Professional Experience
* Experience in creating marketing plans and content for different stakeholders or customer bases.
* Experience managing the complete product lifecycle.
* Experience presenting to small and large groups.
* Experience working effectively in a hybrid work environment.
* Ownership of sales targets (revenue and profit).
* Experience qualifying sales leads.
* Experience developing customer feedback into profitable outcomes.
* Experience in UX design or outcomes.
* Experience with engineering management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Professional Competencies
* Tertiary education qualification(s) in Product Management, Project Management or Business, or significant previous experience (3+ years in a similar role).
* Excellent understanding of how to achieve commercial business objectives through financial management.
* Good understanding of AWS and general cloud computing architecture.
* Strong time‐management abilities.
* Good understanding of operational drivers and control processes of a business.
* Excellent presentation skills.
