Your new role
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious self-starter who is happy to work in a fast paced, dynamic and constantly evolving business.
You will be an active member of the sales team working closely with internal and external associates.
The role is a combination of key account management and sales administration.
Reporting to the Sales Director this important role is responsible for:
Sales management of nominated key accounts including optimising sales objectives, & targets
Develop and execute key account sales strategy and selling programs to achieve sales targets and business objectives
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders across accounts
Assist in the development of group account proposals & new customer opportunities including presentations and promotional strategies
Lead & create independent retailer promotional campaigns and activations for the sales team to utilise
Work collaboratively across all key business functions with an emphasis on the sales organisation
Any other general duties related to the sales process
The major challenges of the role are:
Ability to prioritise, manage time and execute campaigns in a newsroom style fast paced environment
Ability to have robust conversations with your customer base and handle feedback or rejection when sales prospecting
Understanding the dynamic nature of the industry including price positioning, channel management and various geographical fishing applications
Developing an intricate understanding of your region's fishing market, products, retail channels, consumer segments and competitor positioning
Capability to influence key stakeholders externally and cross-functionally within the company

About You
Formal training: Sales training, preferably degree level
Proven Experience: A minimum of 2 years in Sales or Account Management, preferably managing large-scale accounts.
Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written skills
Negotiation Skills: Ability to close deals and manage complex negotiations
Strategic Thinking: Capacity to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies
Result Oriented: A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Industry Knowledge: Fishing industry knowledge and/or experience is desirable
Personality: A burning enthusiasm to show what you've got and what heights you can take the business
Extra Skills that would complement the role
SAP experience
A passion for fishing, and sound knowledge of the industry you can lean on day to day
