We are currently seeking a Site Supervisor to join our Dublin Eco Hub at Lower Light.
About you:
As an experienced Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for day-to-day operational duties at the various activities completed at the IWS Dublin Eco Hub while maintaining high levels of customer service.
You will:
• Staff Training and Inductions
• Workflow Management/planning
• Co-ordinate and supervise daily work programs
• Operations and Maintenance scheduling
• High level of communication and interpersonal skills
• Contribute to a supportive team environment with all members of the work group
• Able to follow and comply with policies, procedures, guidelines and standards set.
• Able to co-ordinate resources to achieve the desired outcome
• Ability to operate within budget constraints
• Able to prioritise Plant and Equipment repairs, taking into account productivity
• Provide relevant advice and assistance on related operational matters
• Ordering of materials, supplies and stocktaking
• Liaise with contractors and employees to meet and complete tasks within time constraints
• Conduct and participate in team meetings
• Achieve expected outcomes of programs and projects
• Competent computer skills
Duties and resonsibilities
* Provide effective and efficient waste management services
* Reduce the risk of workplace-related accidents and injuries.
* Minimise the environmental impact of waste disposal.
* Record and report on monthly progress and compliance of the site.
* Set out and supervise daily work programs for the Operations, Landfill Wasre Cells, Resource Recovery operations (including FOGO and greenwaste), and general site maintenance.
* Develop and carry out safety inspections on plant and equipment.
* Supervise operations employees including the identification of training needs and performance management.
* Supervise contractors undertaking maintenance works on-site.
* Liaise with the various stakeholders who visit the site and ensure site requirements are adhered to.
* Provide on-site induction training for all new employees.
* Provide new employees with basic training on plant and equipment.
* Undertake other training as required by the position.
* Control the placement of waste and recyclables being deposited to maximise resource recovery and landfill cell life.
* Operate on-site plant and equipment if and when required.
* Maintain all buildings, grounds, roadways and landscaping in a clean and tidy condition at all times
* Complete all records and paperwork accurately, as directed and required
Skills and responsibilities
* Current driver's licence
* Knowledge of waste disposal practices and processes.
* Significant experience in waste management site operations, including the operation of heavy plant and equipment.
* Significant experience with the supervision of employees and contractors, including performance management.
* Well developed understanding of OH&S principles and practices as they relate to site operations.
* Ability to develop and supervise work programs for waste management operations.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, and the ability to use initiative.
* Mechanical aptitude
* Basic computer knowledge
* A strong commitment to safety
