Role Overview
A Discipline Senior – CAMHS (South HP04) who will provide comprehensive, evidence‐based clinical assessment, treatment, and assertive case management services for infants, children and adolescents and their families. The role involves development and implementation of specialist treatment programmes, group programmes, community education, specialist interventions, coordination of peer supervision, and expert advice in regional and state forums.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive, evidence‐based clinical assessment, treatment, and assertive case management services, including the development and implementation of specialist treatment programmes, group programmes and community education.
* Coordinate peer supervision programmes, students and less experienced staff and assist the Team Leader and CAMHS Specialty group in implementing discipline‐specific professional supervision.
* Provide expert advice in regional and state forums.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of five years post‐graduate experience with extensive knowledge of mental health issues in infants, children, adolescents and their families.
* Advanced knowledge and skills in specialised CAMHS and discipline‐specific assessment, formulation and provision of treatment consistent with best‐practice models.
* Extensive experience in liaison and consultation with other services and agencies in the context of specialised mental health assessment.
Employment Details
* Permanent full‐time position; 76 hours per fortnight (hours negotiable).
* Salary: $131,122 to $138,984 per annum plus 12% superannuation contribution.
* Salary packaging includes living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 per FBT year.
* Professional Development Allowance up to $1,000 per annum.
* Travel and relocation assistance up to $15,000 for overseas appointees and $10,000 for interstate appointees.

Eligibility
* Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification or relevant postgraduate qualification.
* Registered with the relevant National Board or full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.
* Desirable: current driver's licence, relevant postgraduate qualification, significant clinical paediatric experience with children and adolescents presenting with social, emotional, learning and behavioural problems.
