 
        
        Overview 
Senior Credit Risk Analyst role at ING Australia within the Retail Credit portfolio (Mortgages, Credit Cards and Personal Loans). You’ll use data, analytical and portfolio management capabilities to contribute to strategic risk and business initiatives for optimised growth while managing appropriate risk appetite across all retail products. 
What you will do 
- Lead the design and implementation of credit risk data that support analytical and reporting needs 
- Provide oversight on data governance, ensuring compliance with established frameworks and maintaining data accuracy and integrity 
- Utilise data analysis to support business decision making, identifying trends, patterns, emerging risks, and key insights 
- Drive the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) annual setting and oversee the RAS governance. Ensure that the RAS is effectively communicated, implemented, monitored and follows the approval process and breach management 
- Analyse and report, locally and to Head Office, the portfolio status on an ongoing basis 
- Monitor the portfolio against all “Performance Monitoring Triggers” and initiate corrective action where required 
- Champion continuous improvement of control processes by identifying and highlighting gaps and risks 
- Act as a subject matter lead and coach to uplift capability within the team, providing guidance and quality assurance across regulatory, reporting, and data initiatives 
What we are looking for 
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in credit risk or portfolio analytics within banking or financial services 
- Exposure to SAS, SQL, Tableau or other reporting tools; Power BI, R or Python would be highly advantageous 
- Relevant university degree with solid academic achievements in mathematics, commerce or statistics 
- Excellent data interrogation, numerical and report writing skills
