A Tasmanian government education department is seeking a dedicated professional to lead the development of culturally safe learning environments for Aboriginal students.
The successful candidate will manage support services, collaborate with various stakeholders and implement strategic initiatives aimed at fostering strong relationships between schools, communities and families.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing strategies to improve educational outcomes for Aboriginal students
* Collaborating with teachers, parents and community members to promote student engagement and success
* Providing support services to students, including counseling and mentorship
* Building partnerships with local organizations to enhance educational opportunities
This role requires strong communication skills, cultural competence and experience working with diverse populations. A Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People is also required.
