Job Title: Senior Clinician, Youth Mental Health Initiative.
The Youth Mental Health Initiative is a new service that aims to improve early access to care for 12–25-year-olds with severe and complex mental health needs. We are recruiting Senior Clinicians to work within local Community Mental Health teams, collaborating with headspace centres and partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide trauma-informed, culturally safe interventions and integrated psychosocial responses to young people experiencing complex and severe mental health concerns.
* Lead, mentor, and supervise the delivery of strengths-based and recovery-oriented mental health care and treatment.
* Collaborate with headspace and partner agencies to enhance youth mental health pathways and services.
The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications, significant clinical experience in child and youth mental health, and strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Selection Criteria:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Extensive postgraduate clinical experience and knowledge in evidence-based mental health assessment and treatment.
* Ability to apply advanced reasoning and independent professional judgment to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues.
* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; competence with information technology systems.
