A reputable transport operator in Sydney is seeking a skilled and reliable mechanic to join their maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified technician with experience in diesel engines and commercial passenger vehicles to work in a dynamic and tourism-focused environment.
Your new role
* Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on a fleet of double-decker and single-decker buses.
* Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective actions efficiently.
* Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
* Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with operations staff.
* Assist with emergency breakdowns and on-road support when required.
What you'll need to succeed
* Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
* Proven experience working with engines or bus systems.
* Strong understanding of safety compliance and vehicle standards.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* HR licence and RMS inspection authority (preferred but not essential).
