Our care home in Wodonga offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing well-presented and nutritious meals in a home-like environment.
The successful candidate will have a passion for food and a person-first approach, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care. This is a Permanent Part-time role (Monday – Thursday, 0700 – 1500 shift).
Duties:
* Plan and prepare well-balanced and nutritious meals for our residents
* Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents' dietary, individual, and cultural needs are met
* Support the efficient functioning of the kitchen and catering services
* Comply with all infection control and food safety procedures
* Perform administrative duties related to the kitchen operation such as stock taking and food quality assessment
Requirements:
* Previous experience in the preparation and delivery of meals within a similar environment
* Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent preferred but not essential
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to solve problems independently
