Safety Manager Position
The company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join their project in Queensland. This role will be part of the largest rail investment in Queensland's history, contributing to the development of the manufacturing industry in regional Queensland.
The successful candidate will ensure that health and safety obligations are met during the construction of facilities and rolling stock. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a project aligned with Queensland's Economic Recovery Plan.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the project team's assurance that all health and safety obligations are met during construction.
* Provide specialist advice on safety and compliance issues to project staff.
* Update and administer the Workplace Health & Safety approach as documented in the project's Work Health and Safety Management Plan.
* Ensure all WHS reporting meets contractual obligations.
* Document progress through weekly and monthly reports.
* Travel to facilities as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in making ethical, strategic decisions and leading teams.
* Strong stakeholder relationship skills.
* Solid understanding of governance frameworks and risk management.
* Demonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation and practices.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
