About the Role
Paton Diesel Services (PDS) in Paget, Mackay are seeking a full time, experienced Diesel Fitter. Working in our Paget workshop, you will work alongside the team to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide variety of Mining Equipment including machinery and components.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a diesel fitter is required for this position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Diagnose, overhaul, maintain and repair a variety of Mining equipment including Machinery, Engines, Components and Powertrain.
- Be able to identify and troubleshoot technical issues
- Maintain accurate records of work
- Working within a team and independently when require
- Any other duties as directed by management
About you:
- Relevant Trade Qualification (Certificate III in Engineering, Fixed and Mobile Plant, Mobile Plant Technology or Engine Reconditioning)
- Strong work ethic
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic abilities
- Earthmoving Component Rebuild or Engine Rebuild experience preferred
- Required license: Driver's license
- Preferred license: Forklift
- Must hold Australian permanent residency or have valid work rights
