AUSTRAC, Australia’s financial intelligence agency, is evolving to strengthen its fight against money laundering and terrorism financing. As we expand our regulatory reach and broaden our digital transformation, we're seeking Change Managers to be part of our transformation journey and deliver meaningful outcomes for our people and the broader organisation.
Role: EL1 Change Manager at AUSTRAC, Canberra, ACT. Base pay range: A$123,799.00/yr – A$140,935.00/yr.

The key duties of the position
- Manage the implementation and delivery of change programs and projects.
- Develop and execute structured change and communication plans.
- Provide expert advice on change strategy, change readiness, impact and training needs and deployment plans.
- Prepare basic process mapping and workflow analysis.
- Track and report on change readiness, adoption metrics, and feedback.
- Lead training, coaching, and mentoring to uplift change management capability across AUSTRAC, aligned with agency frameworks and standards.
- Collaborate with divisions and branches to deliver solutions driven by business needs and requirements.
- Prepare high-quality presentation decks, change artefacts, and content for governance committees and executive audiences.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking collaborative and proactive leaders with a strong background in Change Management to join AUSTRAC.
Required
- Knowledge and experience working on complex and/or large-scale projects, including organisational change.
- Qualifications in change management and/or relevant industry experience.
- Background in Communications, adult learning or training experience.
Eligibility
- Must be an Australian citizen at the time you apply.
- Will need to undertake AUSTRAC’s pre-engagement checks.
- Will need to obtain and maintain an ongoing, minimum Baseline security clearance.
