HR Assistant Manager – Multinational Hospitality Company

About the Role:
We are a large multinational hospitality company with HQ in Hong Kong and a small, high-performing Australian office of around 15 people. Supporting over 200 staff across Australia, our culture is friendly, dynamic, and fast-paced.
We are seeking a HR Assistant Manager to support day-to-day HR operations and business partnering, manage and coach the HR team, and ensure alignment with company objectives. This role includes operational HR enquiries, recruitment, staff relations, policy updates, and reporting, with exposure to commercial, finance, marketing, and operations teams.
There is also potential for business trips and involvement in HQ initiatives, making this an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow within a global company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the key HR contact for operations, guiding managers on HR matters and operational enquiries
* Support and coach the HR team, including HR assistants and interns
* Drive recruitment processes: job postings, candidate screening, interviews, onboarding
* Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters
* Support performance management, staff development, and engagement initiatives
* Assist with policy reviews, localisation, and HR projects, including HQ initiatives
* Prepare and consolidate HR reports (headcount, turnover, attendance, employment data)
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams: commercial, finance, marketing, operations
* Participate in business trips and other corporate initiatives as required
* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
* 4–6 years HR experience across multiple HR functions, including team management
* Strong knowledge of local employment laws and HR best practices
* Highly organized, able to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
* Positive, proactive, and able to work independently
* Experience in hospitality, commercial, or multinational environments is a plus
* Immediate availability preferred
