Family Support Specialist
In this challenging role, you will work directly with vulnerable families to address complex challenges and help them achieve safety, stability, and resilience.
The key aspects of the position include:
* Developing and implementing individualized family support plans under the direction of a Service Coordinator, addressing a range of behavioral, psychosocial, and safety needs.
* Providing hands-on support to each family, including 2-3 weekly face-to-face sessions focused on behavior management, trauma recovery, and parenting skill development.
* Fostering connections to specialized services and essential resources such as healthcare, housing, and education.
* Monitoring family progress and maintaining detailed case documentation to ensure family goals are consistently met.
* Adapting to flexible scheduling based on each family's needs to maximize engagement and support outcomes.
Requirements:
* A Certificate IV in Community Services or relevant qualification is preferred.
* 12 months experience supporting children and families with complex needs is highly regarded.
* An Australian driver's license is required.
* A First Aid Certificate with current CPR is necessary.
* A Working with Children Check (paid employee status) is mandatory.
* A reliable car with registration is required.
* A reliable smartphone with data is necessary for effective communication.
