The Role
We're looking for a dynamic professional to provide proactive support to our Chief Executive Officer. In this key role, you will deliver high-quality administration, exceptional customer service, and seamless support to Elected Members, all while ensuring compliance with the organisations policies and corporate guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a proactive and organised professional to support the Chief Executive Officer and Elected Members, ensuring smooth operations across the organisation. In this pivotal role, you will:
* Coordinate the CEO's office activities, including diary management, travel arrangements, and project coordination.
* Prepare reports, correspondence, minutes, and other documents, providing critical research and information to support decision-making.
* Foster strong relationships with Shire Directorates, stakeholders, government agencies, and community partners.
* Provide exceptional customer service, responding to internal and external enquiries.
* Assist with planning and coordinating meetings, special events, civic functions, and workshops.
* Support a positive workplace culture by collaborating with Councillors, the Leadership Team, and staff across the organisation.

The Candidate
* Proven experience supporting Senior Executives in Local or State Government, or the Private Sector.
* Exceptional time management, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
* Excellent written, verbal, and word-processing communication abilities.
* Professional and proactive approach to executive support.
* Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities.
* Positive, collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to organisational protocols.
Desirable:
* Experience in Local Government.
* Familiarity with Intranet and Internet platforms for corporate communication.
