Job Description
Cumberland City Council is seeking a Graduate Landscape Architect to join our Public Spaces Design team. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of landscape architecture, including designing sustainable and functional open spaces.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early career professional looking to develop their skills and experience in landscape architecture. You will be working with a range of stakeholders, including community groups, council staff, and industry professionals to deliver projects that enhance the life and vitality of our communities.
The successful applicant will have a degree or diploma in landscape architecture or a related field, and demonstrated skills in preparing landscape plans and design documentation using industry-standard software. Excellent communication and customer service skills are also essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare landscape plans and design documentation using AutoCAD/Vectorworks and Adobe CC
* Assist in the preparation of reports and provide technical advice on landscape and urban design matters
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver projects that meet council's strategic objectives
Requirements
* Degree or diploma in landscape architecture or a related field
* Proven skills in preparing landscape plans and design documentation using industry-standard software
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
