The role provides assistance to the Clinical Director of Endocrinology in the provision, development and maintenance of an effective, efficient and equitable Diabetes & Endocrinology service within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. The Cairns Diabetes Centre is an offsite facility situated at the North Cairns Health Precinct. It is the major specialist referral and resource centre for Diabetes and Endocrine care in Far North Queensland. The service provides both in-reach services to Cairns Hospital, and outreach or telehealth services to both the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) and the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS).

About your new role:
In your new role you will......
* Deliver a high standard of clinical care within the Division of Medicine, including Endocrinology and Obstetric Medicine.
* Participate in outpatient clinic rosters, including telehealth services, covering Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, general endocrinology, high-risk foot services, diabetes in pregnancy, and metabolic clinics.
* Participate in outreach clinics, including travel to locations within and outside CHHHS as required
