Role Description
Please note: this is a hybrid role and may require occasional onsite travel to Rockhampton, subject to client requirements.
PMCi is seeking 3 experienced Business Analysts for roles based in the Rockhampton / Central Queensland region. These roles will support a portfolio of education systems and business transformation initiatives, with a focus on improving processes, optimising workflows, and supporting the delivery of high‐quality solutions across complex enterprise environments.
The Business Analysts will play a key role in improving efficiency and effectiveness by analysing current processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business needs into actionable requirements. Working closely with project teams, stakeholders, and technical specialists, they will help deliver high‐quality solutions that enhance education systems, processes, and outcomes, supporting students, staff, and overall organisational capability.
Responsibilities
* Gather, analyse, and document business requirements
* Map and document current‐state and future‐state processes
* Facilitate stakeholder workshops and interviews to capture requirements and insights
* Conduct gap analyses to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
* Prepare high‐quality functional and business requirements documentation suitable for project teams and developers
* Support workflow redesign and process optimisation initiatives
* Engage with cross‐functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of solutions
* Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to support project delivery
* Contribute to the development of tools, templates, and reporting mechanisms as required
* Apply best‐practice approaches to business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and documentation
Qualifications
* Strong skills in Business Analysis, including defining and eliciting business requirements, functional analysis, and supporting solution design
* Proven experience in documenting current‐state and future‐state business processes, workflow mapping, and requirements traceability
* Proficiency in analysing and optimising business processes to improve organisational efficiency and service delivery
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills to identify trends, evaluate solutions, and provide data‐driven recommendations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitating workshops and translating complex concepts into clear business language
* Experience working with cross‐functional teams in project or program delivery environments
* Experience in education, university, VET, or student systems environments highly desirable
* Familiarity with best‐practice frameworks such as PRINCE2, MSP, BPMN, or related methodologies is advantageous
* A relevant degree or industry certification in Business Analysis, IT, Project Delivery, or a related field
* Prior experience in ICT transformation, systems uplift, workflow automation, or public sector environments is highly regarded
