Are you looking for a role where you can make a difference? SYC's Education and Training portfolio delivers a range of accredited, non‐accredited and Coaching services. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Success and Wellbeing Coach to join our Education and Training team on a Full‐time basis based at our Kent Town site.
In this role, you will provide support to VET students to help them achieve a successful vocational education training (VET) outcome and transition to further study or employment. You will provide guidance and support to foster personal growth and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
* Providing a range of effective Success and Wellbeing Services (SWS) to VET students of all ages within the guidelines of the SWS deed and Operational Guidelines.
* Assessing the student's living, learning and transition needs.
* Delivering individualised practical and emotional support to students in a proactive manner.
* Working collaboratively with referring RTOs and other key stakeholders to ensure effective achievement of outcomes as per the support plan.
About You
As someone who enjoys working in a highly collaborative team environment, you will be passionate about supporting VET students with complex needs. The role is multi‐faceted including maintaining and developing relationships with external agencies and key stakeholders to support students to stay in and successfully complete their studies.
Qualifications
* Experience in meeting the needs of people at risk, people with disabilities and from diverse cultural backgrounds.
* Proven experience and success supporting students to overcome barriers and achieve learning outcomes.
* Knowledge and understanding of the Vocational Education and Training sector.
* Interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions.
* Strong engagement skills and the ability to influence and motivate students using a coaching and advisory approach to achieve quality client outcomes.
Key Screening & Requirements
* Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
* Be eligible to work in Australia.
* Have possession of a current valid Driver's License, willingness to drive.
* Willing to undertake Mental Health First Aid and Disability Awareness training.
