With the launch of our IT Operating Model, as well as bringing critical IT services in-house, we are transforming the way we deliver technology services — making them faster, more responsive and more aligned with the needs of our organisation and customers.

About the role

As the Information Data Uplift Lead, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how the organisation manages, governs and values information and data.

This role is responsible for leading the uplift of skills, practices and culture within the Information & Data team, enabling the integration of enterprise data management into existing information management operations. You will help transition the team from a primarily information-focused function to a modern, integrated information and data management capability, supporting the organisation's strategic goal of becoming truly data-driven.

You will introduce new ways of working, embed data practices into existing governance processes, coordinate targeted training and development, and ensure priorities align with the Manager's strategic direction and operational plan. This is a leadership role with a strong focus on capability building, change leadership and sustainable transformation.

We're looking for people who have:

We're looking for an experienced leader who is passionate about capability uplift, governance and enabling data-driven organisations through people, process and culture.

You will bring:

* Tertiary qualifications in Information Management, Data Governance, Library Science, Information Systems, Business or equivalent leadership experience
* Demonstrated experience leading capability uplift or transformation within information and/or data management functions
* Strong knowledge of information and data management principles, governance frameworks and industry standards (e.g. DAMA, ISO 8000, ISO 15489)
* Proven ability to design and implement new ways of working that integrate data management into existing operations
* Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with experience sequencing change initiatives aligned to strategic objectives
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and change leadership skills across technical and non-technical audiences
* Experience coordinating and delivering targeted training and development initiatives
* Experience working within public sector information and data governance environments
