Lead Analyst, Data Governance Summary
About the Role
This is a key leadership position responsible for leading and managing the organisation's data governance framework to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of data across the institution.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the creation and execution of data governance policies, standards, and procedures for effective data management across the organisation.
* Oversee compliance with data governance policies and regulations, identifying and resolving any gaps or issues.
* Developing best practices for data classification, metadata management, and data lifecycle to optimise organisational data handling.
* Analyse data governance metrics and performance indicators to foster ongoing enhancements in data management practices.
* Act as the go-to expert for data governance, offering support, conducting training, and staying updated on emerging trends to continually improve data strategies.
Requirements
* Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
* Extensive experience and management expertise; or
* An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* Experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
* Proven ability to develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures in a complex organisation.
