Position Summary
The Logistics Officer manages the storage and dispatch of goods, ensuring timely delivery and accurate inventory. Responsibilities include optimizing transportation, operating forklifts safely, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring materials meet quality standards. The role also involves overseeing yard organisation, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous improvements to support production efficiency. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities
Organize the storage and dispatch of goods (timber frame wall, flooring cassettes, roof trusses, onsite tools and materials.
Operate & perform daily prestart of multidirectional forklifts.
Perform manual handling tasks on a continual basis.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and as needed housekeeping in the yard and warehouse.
Project Logistics
Maintain and Create project packing slips.
Planning efficient transportation routes, and liaising with transport providers and drivers, and construction site teams.
Managing relationships with construction site teams and logistic companies.
Perform logistics for the manutention and transport from factory to site keeping in mind elements height, weight, and width restrictions.
Loading and unloading trailers.
Control and organize warehouse management and yard storage of stock and finish products.
HSEQ
Ensuring HSE protocols are followed and complying with the organization's safety and environmental systems in the logistic department.
Profile
Be detail-focused, flexible, and able to adapt to changing work conditions.
Maintain good communication skills, teamwork skills, and be able to work well under pressure.
Have a forklift license and previous experience in logistics roles.
Operation of Multidirectional Forklift
Manage and Control logistics equipment
Operate a multidirectional forklift daily to transport materials and products within the factory and yard areas.
Perform prestart checks on the forklift, ensuring that it is in proper working condition before use, and report any faults or maintenance needs.
Ensure safety protocols are followed during operation, including the correct loading and unloading procedures.

Education/Trade Qualification
Essential:
A forklift license
Skills
Essential:
Experience in logistics roles (with Cold Chain logistics experience being favored)
Excellent technical troubleshooting skills, organisation and project coordination skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Proficient with Design Software and Microsoft Office suite, as well as strong analytical and organisation skills.
Demonstrated experience in cross-departmental collaboration between site teams and other internal stakeholders.
Strong understanding of safety practices in a construction environment.
Excellent knowledge of building codes.
High level of attention to detail.
Sound problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Strong focus on quality.
Capabilities
Essential:
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and equipment (up to 25 kg).
