Our highly specialised, practical workshops are delivered by experienced medics and empower a diverse range of participants - from frontline clinicians and local first responders to worksite crews, farm workers, corporate executives and remote communities – to act with confidence and skill in critical, high pressure situations.
During our programs participants face realistic, scenario-based challenges, designed to stretch their skills beyond their comfort zone. This hands‐on approach builds practical expertise and lifesaving confidence delivering our team's mission - to ensure that as many people as possible are prepared to step in during life‐critical moments and make a difference when it matters most.
The Role
We currently have an opportunity for a Part‐Time Clinical Educator who will report to the Head of Education & Training. The key objective for this role will include:
* Deliver high-quality community and commercial training programs and assessments aligned with CareFlight's education strategy and standards.
* Support the delivery of CareFlight's clinical, community and commercial education programs through effective logistics coordination, administration, equipment preparation and time‐keeping.
* Maintain clinical training equipment and consumables ensuring all resources are clean, accounted for, serviceable and in good working order at all times.
* Source and introduce new and innovative training equipment and technologies to enhance fidelity of training, eg 3D printing.
* Set up, operate and maintain audiovisual equipment and provide technical support of in person, blended and digital training delivery.
* Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of CareFlight's accredited and bespoke training packages.
* Champion the CareFlight brand in all community engagements and stakeholder interactions.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
* Demonstrated five years of practice in pre‐hospital nursing (eg remote area nurse) or paramedic services.
* Demonstrated experience in adult education and simulation training.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects, eg training equipment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (eg. Word, Excel).
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Willingness to travel interstate, drive for long hours and a current driver's licence.
* Qualifications in Training & Assessment (e.g., TAE40122 or willing to undertake).
* Must maintain min .25 FTE clinical practice.
* Previous experience in occupational health and/or remote site medical work.
* 3D printing experience.
* IT literacy and ability to operate AV programs and software.
* Curious mindset, creativity and willingness to deliver engaging high‐fidelity learning experiences.
