**About the opportunity**
We are currently seeking to appoint a **Postdoctoral Research Fellow**to work on a range of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED) and Educational Data Mining (EDM) projects with Professor Kalina Yacef. These projects explore how multimodal data from online platforms and sensor-based environments can be harnessed to enhance learning at scale. Research directions include designing algorithms and methods for adaptive and personalised feedback, modelling learning behaviours with sequence and deep learning methods, and generating interpretable insights through novel analytics and dashboards.
**About you**

- a PhD (or in near completion) in the relevant fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, HCI
- demonstrated contributions to publications in top tier conferences and journals in data mining/machine learning, Artificial Intelligence in Education and Educational Data Mining, Human-Computer Interaction
- strong technical expertise in data mining, data management, and machine learning.
- motivation to conduct interdisciplinary work and engage with researchers from other fields and industry partners.
- experience in conducting research/scholarly activities under limited supervision and as part of a research team.
- demonstrated ability to contribute to publications, grant writing and other project outputs.
- excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
