View Sydney is a 213 room 4-star hotel with a restaurant, bar, 7 conference spaces and an outodoor terrace with unrivalled view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Reservations Agent reports to the Reservations Manager and works closely with the front office team.
The role
As a Reservations Agent, you will be the voice of the hotel. You will approach every guest interaction with warmth, care and excellent service to create a positive and seamless experience. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reservations Agentwho has experience in a similar role or guest services role in a 4 or 5 star hotel to join our Reservations team.
Key responsibilities:-
· Handle all reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online channels in a timely and professional manner
· Provide accurate information on room availability, rates, promotions, and hotel services
· Create, modify, and cancel reservations while ensuring data accuracy
· Deliver a warm, personalised guest experience with every interaction
· Maximise revenue by promoting upgrades, packages, and add-on services
· Coordinate with front office and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
· Maintain detailed and accurate guest records in the reservations system
· Resolve guest inquiries and concerns efficiently and professionally
· Adhere to company policies, procedures, and brand standards
Skills and experience
· Previous 4 or 5 star hotel experience in a reservations, front office, or customer service role
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong customer service focus with a warm and professional manner
· Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· High attention to detail and accuracy when handling bookings and guest information
· Knowledge of Infor HMS will be an advantage
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally
· Sales-minded approach with the ability to upsell rooms, packages, and services
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· Flexibility to work alternate Saturdays as required
